For The RV Owner: Your Invitation To Join

As RVers, we enjoy nature, fresh air and natural products.  We seek out the beauty and serenity of the countryside and tranquility for our night stops. We look for experiences and products that are authentic and memorable. We love having flexibility in our itineraries and the ability to learn about the riches of different tastes and traditions from throughout the United States.  We like to have free overnight stopping places.

To enhance these experiences, this is your invitation to become a guest of Harvest Hosts, a network of vintners, growers and producers who invite self-contained RV owners (all motorhomes, fifth-wheels and trailers) to visit their vineyards and farms and allow them to stay overnight (no longer than 24 hours) at their properties FREE OF CHARGE.

By inviting you to stay at their vineyards and on their farms, our Hosts are giving you the opportunity to experience the commitment and dedication of the independent family operation where they are working to bring you the highest quality natural products as well as a place where old-fashioned values and fun are still part of the traditions.  Meet people who are both proud of and passionate about their work.

Based on extremely successful programs in Europe, Harvest Hosts offers you the opportunity to tour wineries, pick your own fruit and produce and to stock up on cheeses and other excellent, natural products.  You'll have diverse experiences that are fun for all ages and are located in scenic areas that are full of history and personality.   You’ll love visiting the regions and meeting your Hosts and then at the end of the day, you’ll enjoy the peace and tranquility of a parking spot in the country.

Whether visiting a winery, a farm, or a specialty foods producer, we’re sure you’ll have memories worth reminiscing about, worth sharing with your friends and worth experiencing again.

As a member of Harvest Hosts you will have access to the Host Directory (downloadable), a Membership Card and a Vehicle Identification Sticker good for twelve months.  The sticker must be attached to the windshield so that it is visible to the Harvest Hosts property owners.  The Host Directory contains regional maps, the addresses and GPS coordinates of the Hosts and lists of their offerings.

As of March 4, 2010 we have 101 Hosts in 21 states:  WA, OR, CA, AZ, NM, CO, ID, WY, ND, SD, NE, KS, OK, TX, MO, IA, MN, WI, IL, AL and NY.

The offerings by each of the Hosts will be identified by icons to make identification swift and easy.  The icons used are as follows:

The Directory is updated continuously throughout the year.  All members agree to make use of the Directory only during its year of validity and to abide by the Harvest Hosts Code of Conduct.  The members-only pages of this website contain detailed maps, special announcements and newly added Hosts.

A 2010 Founding Year Membership in Harvest Hosts is being offered at the discounted price of $20.00 for the annual membership.  For no more than the average price of one night’s accommodation at a private campground, you can explore new regions and accept the hospitality of Hosts with no obligation of additional cost.

We have wineries, farms, orchards, wildlife rescue associations, alpaca farms, lavender farms, u-pick operations, farm fresh produce stands and more.   We are so sure that you will find that being a member will be rewarding that we are offering a 30 day money back guarantee.  If you are not happy with the Harvest Hosts network of Hosts, we'll refund your membership payment.

Harvest Hosts promotes the use of RVs in harmony with the environment and of tourism strongly connected to nature. We provide an educational experience that allows for the rediscovery of the rich heritage of the countryside. We support agritourism - the economic growth of rural communities and foster direct relationships between the growers, the producers and their customers.  We believe this is the best way to discover the heart of rural communities, to experience interesting locations, warm welcomes and friendly exchanges, and to learn about local products and life on a family farm.
