We live in Litchfield, Illinois on the Mother Road of Route 66!!! We are halfway between Springfield, Illinois and St. Louis, MO. About forty miles from both. We have a Route 66 museum in Litchfield and the historic Ariston restaurant. It has been in the same location since 1929 and was a stop for travelers then and still today!! There are many things to see in both directions!

Location

I have a circle drive around a machine shed . Have room to back into a rock parking lot. Then could park a couple of rigs in the driveway around the shed. Would prefer that once you are in the main driveway to stop and figure out which way around the building would work best for your rig.

Ron greeted us upon arrival, showed us where to park. We had some great conversation about our earlier lives and what is currently going on. Easy access, plenty of room, communication was and continues to be excellent, unfortunately Ron was under the weather, would have been nice to spend a little more time with him. Great stop for us as we headed down towards Texas from Wisconsin.

Host graciously allowed us to stay even though he had to leave unexpectedly. Easy access, excellent signage on the road. Convenient utilities.

It was a very needed stop on the first day fighting winds. Ron was very gracious and helpful getting us set up. He checked on us on our travel to make sure we were doing ok, again due to the winds. We want to go back when the weather is nicer so we may sit out with Ron and his wife Kate and shoot the breeze.
