Hidden Ways to Find More Storage Space In Your RV

Storage Space… The bane of RV life. While finding hidden storage spaces in an RV may seem challenging, using framed net pockets, barrier nets, and organizers can help you maximize available space you didn’t know you had. Here are some tips you can follow to find and organize hidden storage spaces in your RV:

Identify Potential Storage Areas

Start by taking a look around your RV and identifying areas that can be used for storage. Look up and down, behind and in front of things. Look for empty spaces that are currently unused or underutilized, such as the area above a bed, behind cabinet doors, under cabinets, flat wall spaces, or under seats. Lift up the dining area cushions and visualize how the empty box underneath can be utilized and compartmentalized into useful storage spaces. You can attach a storage net under the seat cushion frame lid. Perfect for decks of cards, games, or your hidden stash of Girl Scout Thin Mint cookies.

Install Framed Net Pockets

Framed net pockets are a great way to create additional storage space in your RV. These nets are made of durable materials and can be attached to walls or other surfaces. Use them to store lightweight items such as pillows, blankets, or stuffed animals. In the kitchen or galley, framed net pockets can be mounted to the backs (and fronts) of cabinet doors, walls, ceilings, and just about anywhere there’s a flat space. Perfect for remotes, spices, dog leashes, paper plates, gloves for black water tank maintenance, and more.  For the bedside, a framed net pocket is perfect to hold reading books, C-Pap machines, glasses, flashlights, and nighttime meds (or candy stash).  Everything is within arm's length like on a Lunar capsule.

Install Barrier Nets

Barrier nets are another type of net that can be used to create storage space in your RV. These nets are perfectly designed to keep items in cubby holes, cabinets, and on shelves where things might shift while on the road.

Ever open your cabinet doors and items fall out on top of you?  Barrier Stretch nets keep items in the cabinet safe and sound. To retrieve items, simply pull down on the bungee stretch net, grab the item, let go of the net, and it will snap back into place. Easy peasy. No more mess.

Barrier Stretch nets are also perfect for fruit and vegetable hammocks under kitchen cabinets. Keeps the counters clear and easily accessible.

Barrier nets are also used to keep pets from going between the driver's area and the living area of the RV.

Use Organizers

Organizers are a great way to keep your RV organized and make the most of the available storage space. You can use hanging organizers to store items like shoes, toiletries, cleaning products, ratchet straps, and other items. You can also use them in drawers to keep small items like utensils, tools, onions, and more organized. Get Wet Shower organizers are perfect for mounting to shower walls or wet-prone areas to hold bottles of soaps and lotions. They are made of a PVC material which allows them to breathe and not mildew.

Get Wet Organizers are also perfect for muddy shoes to keep the dirt from entering the cabin.  The shoes dry out and the dirt remains in the organizer. Just snap off the organizer and dump out the dirt.

Mesh organizers can use SNAD fastenerswhich utilize a 3M adhesive so you don’t have screw holes in the walls.

Be Creative

Feel free to get creative when looking for hidden storage spaces in your RV. You can use the empty space over kitchen cabinets, visors, on the back and side walls of closets, and even ceiling nets in storage compartments.

By following these steps and using framed net pockets, barrier nets, and organizers, you can maximize the available storage space in your RV and keep your belongings organized and easily accessible.  The more organized, the less stress, which means better family time.
