About
No special views or things to do; just a quiet parking spot to rest. It is only about 100 feet to the house, but there are a few bushes in between.
Two miles up a gravel road. Parking on dirt or grass, light vehicles. Not available in rainy weather. Ground is not level. Motorhomes 22 foot or less have parked ok, and short trailers with tow vehicles are usually ok.
No fires of any kind due to fire danger in the woods.
Parking is under trees, so solar is not very useful. Trees can drip gunk at certain times of year.
Need to arrive in daylight.
Animals must be on leash at all times. and not barking.
No admittance to any buildings.
A very loud train sometimes runs by at varying times--with a very loud whistle, once or twice a day.
There CAN be limited use of WiFi, water, and electric, but you would need a rather long extension cord and/or hose, and WiFi doesn't work far away.
Suggested Local Attractions:Eugene, Oregon is 30 miles east. The Oregon Coast at Florence is 35 miles west. Old Town Florence is a tourist attraction. Going north of Florence has a scenic rocky coastline, Sea Lion Caves, Heceta Head lighthouse and trails; Devil's Elbow park, Cape Perpetua with Thor's Well, Yaquina Head is at Newport with a great visitor center, lighthouse, birds. Going south, you don't see as much ocean from the road until you go a ways, but Shore Acres State Park is nice near Charleston, though off the beaten path a ways--or Bastendorff Beach County Park. Also south, near Reedsport is an elk viewing area. About 30 miles southwest is Sweet Creek which is a nice stroll along a creek for a mile, a popular place.

Parking & Arrival
Access Road Conditions:
Ask for my directions. GPS can put you over a bad road.
Coming from the west on highway 126 requires a sharp switchback to turn onto the road. You have to just about stop to make the switchback/turn.
Small RV or trailer only. Gravel/narrow road for two miles, one sharp corner; dirt and grass and weeds for parking -- fine for good weather only.
Tow Vehicle Parking Details:
It depends. One could stay attached to the trailer. I think a tow vehicle plus 20 foot trailer would be ok if you are good at backing up. One could pull through if a very small trailer, like a teardrop size.

Up to 25 ft
