The History
In 1996, Larry and Beverly Ireland opened the Flying I Bison Ranch. Since then, they have owned and raised bison in the southern region of Saskatchewan. Later on, the Irelands began building a place to display the antiques they had accumulated over many years. This passion resulted in an antique village with ten buildings, which is now part of the experience of visiting the ranch. The museum features Canadian artifacts and many odd and unusual items from around the world.
The Business Today
Today, Bev and Larry Ireland continue to raise bison on their Saskatchewan property, which is located just twelve miles north of the North Dakota-Canada border. They package and sell all sorts of bison meats. These include ground meats, jerky, sausages, steaks, such as ribeye, sirloin, and top of round steak, and so much more. They also run a bakery table with all sorts of goodies, such as homemade muffins and breads. In addition to the museum, baked goods, and ranch, guests can find a garden, a patio, and a gift shop.)
