About
Visit us in Atmore, Alabama, nestled in the deep south, where friendliness and manners flow like sweet tea. We love our little town, originally called William Station, due to the railroad stop on our historic Main Street. (The name was changed to Atmore in 1860.) We are located between Pensacola, FL and Mobile, AL. Our RV pad is on the left side of our home. We also have an Airbnb Studio for rent in the back. The pad is clearly marked with gravel stones. Backing in is preferable. The fresh well water is at the corner of the house and nearby is the electrical panel. I have a 110 outlet that can accommodate a 30A if you have an adapter. I can also a 50A, coming. The pad is mostly level, it may be a degrees or two sloping, but not much more. The home sits back from the road a bit so it is really quiet. I have lots of space to turn around a big rig. I also have space to unhook a truck and such. The parking area is grass/gravel. There is a small slide and swings for littles. Pets are generally fine to exercise, providing that you pick up after your pet! Generators are fine. We have an RV dump station nearby that can be included, if needed. No internet included, it is spotty at best. I will accept same day requests and multiple day requests. I also have an RV park nearby that can host multiple units, if I am booked on the website. Call for availability (251-655-6304 Samantha). Things to do:Wind Creek Casino and Hotel, Wind Creek Cinema, and Bowling Alley. Nearby is the Poarch Creek Indians Museum & Gift Shop, Magnolia Creek for swimming, hiking, and other outdoor activities. Shopping/dining: Visit Main Street boutiques and a little pub called The Publican. The Warehouse Market & Bakery is a popular spot for Amish-style goods, local gifts, fresh sandwiches, a salad bar, deli. Fine Dining: The Gather or Fire in the Wind Creek Casino. For a Mexican night, try Acapulco's or Jalisco's. Or Chen's Buffet, that specialize in Asian dishes. For serious hikers (like me) Historic Blakely State Park (35 mins away) is amazing. It is on the grounds of the last major battle of the Civil War. There is so much to see and do there on the grounds. They have horse and mountain bike trails, canoe and kayak water trails, and a boat that tours through the marshes. Walk through Tom Byrne Park, a local favorite with families, joggers, or walkers. The path is paved, mostly shaded, and lit in the evenings. Or walk along the historic Main Street or Trammell Street.
