Ever stayed at an urban winery? No? Well, you should, and it should be ours. Welcome to Sunbeat Cellars! Located in the Queen Creek/San Tan Valley area, we're a family-forged urban winery making natural, low-intervention wines. We also grow over 14 varieties of prickly pear, because screw alfalfa. You'll stay on our peaceful 3 acres with or without hookups, all while enjoying our locally made, Sonoran-inspired wines. Take note: our land is rough. We're constantly weeding, renovating, mowing, etc. We want to create a small taste of the Sonoran desert here, so we're taking a native approach to our property. The front is lined with old growth mesquite, non-native grass has been allowed to die off, and local flora like purslane and creosote is encouraged to propagate. You might even see native fauna like quail, cardinals, roadrunners, red tail hawks, ground squirrels, and desert spiny lizards. So expect dirt over a manicured grass lawn (we are in the desert, after all). We're conveniently located near three major highways (US 60, SR 202, and SR 24), as well as less than a mile from a gas station, a grocery store, an urgent care, and fast food chains - though if you ask us, the local joints a way better! (Ask us for recommendations!) When you stay with us, you get a free tour of our operations! If you want, you can ask us to explain our prickly pear farm -- just don't ask us to touch one. Who is "us," you might ask? We're Nick and Bree, your hosts at Sunbeat Cellars. We've been married for over 17 years, but only started on this crazy urban winery adventure about four years ago. We have a son who will probably want to say hi to you, and two standard poodles who will want the same.
