About
We are in a very quiet and safe neighborhood. Our back yard is full of flowers, trees, vegetables, and grape vines. There are fruit trees and roses growing in the front yard.
Suggested Local Attractions:The Pima Air and Space museum is just a few miles from here. Coming to the neighborhood from the freeway, you'll pass part of the largest airplane boneyard in the world. Saguaro National Monument is a few miles to the east of us and is great for hiking. We are a short drive from a popular spot for mountain biking. If the summer is too hot for you, you can be at the top of Mt. Lemmon in an hour, for cool weather, tall pine trees, and spectacular views.

HOST
We are young empty nesters who'd like to share our space.
Details:
We have a small house on a relatively big property in a quiet neighborhood. We've planted trees, flowers, and vegetables in the yard and have a small chicken coop with a few chooks. Between us we have five adult children, of whom only two are still in Tucson. We love camping in our little vintage Shasta trailer which is older than both of us, kayaking, and binge watching old television shows when the minds need a break.
We recently fenced in the area in the front yard that we offer for boondockers. There are 13’ gates on both ends so you can pull through, and the length of fence along the sidewalk is 46’.
Home Town:
Our home in Tucson is near the airplane boneyard on the South side of town. We've both lived here for most of our lives, although he spent some years in Alaska and she has lived in Virginia and Las Vegas for a couple of years. We like being able to get out and hike, and have a small camper trailer we take out on occasion. In Tucson, you are an hour from being in the mountains and six from being at the beach (less if you go to Mexico). We have the best Mexican food in the country, and are considered a city of Gastronomy by UNESCO.
Favorite Boondocking Locations:
We like to drive out into the middle of the desert. The views of the stars can't be beat.
Skills or Expertise to Share:
She can cook and sew, and he can fix just about anything.
