Stone Lake in Westwood Ranch Williams Arizona is a privately owned seasonal lake bed that fills up every 4-5 years usually after heavy snowfall during winter. Most other years the winters are mild, and the lake bed is a green field where 15-20 of my privately owned goats graze as well occasional wild mule deer, white-tailed deer, Rocky Mountain elk, cattle and pronghorn antelope. It is prime hunting territory, but it is now being developed into a multi-family homestead with many campground areas available for short-term or long-term renting. We have experience is setting up basic solar and septic systems and can help long-term renters with installing them. Over time, we plan to have more resources available for long-term renters, such as more private water delivery trucks, paved roads, a well-developed canal with dams that should hold plenty water in seasons with less rain/snow fall and more amenities for short term renters such as public bathrooms and playgrounds. For those who would be interested we also do butcher goats once a year, and make Jerky, burger patties, and slow cooked meat stews. Its always a good experience to remember where our food comes from. Pets are allowed but to avoid any pet from getting lost we expect them to have a very secure area when they are not being supervised such as a tall fence perimeter, which we can help with that as well of course. The charm of Stone Lake is its raw potential, diverse wildlife and scenery that drastically shifts every mile as you approach it. You'll see a field of flowers, to a flowing creek, a green bowl of grass surrounded by trees and high hills, or after a heavy snowfall you will see a huge 100 acre lake full and overflowing. Instinctually all wildlife follows the flowing water up hill to Stone lake.
