About
We cannot accommodate trailers over 22'. Slightly larger campers & vans are ok IF YOU ARE TOWING A TRAILER: PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE read the parking and arrival section prior to requesting a stay. When requesting a stay PLEASE ACKNOWLEDGE YOU HAVE READ THE PARKING INFO. We just don't want anyone to arrive and be surprised about our access. It can certainly be a challenge for trailers if your backing skills are not top notch. I repeat, you need to excel at the skill of backing up!! If you do not acknowledge you have read parking info we will need to decline your request. please note, If you tow a car behind, you will need to disconnect in town before arriving We appreciate it if you arrive after 3 and before dark We are in a quiet area on a private road. We are only minutes from the amenities of town while still having the feeling of seclusion in a beautiful forest. We love hosting and meeting other travelers. Whether or not you interact with us is totally your decision, our spot is open either way! Parking area is paved 26 x 40. Mostly shady with seclusion from main house. 10 minutes to restaurants and stores. There are 2 historic gold mining towns nearby with great restaurants, shops and a few wineries, Lots of outdoor activities in the general area. Tahoe 1.5 hours Sacramento 1 hour. Suggested Local Attractions: Empire Mine State Park Historic Grass Valley & Nevada City Yuba River hiking & swimming lots of great hiking in this area Many events like music festivals, county fair, street fairs etc

HOST
Living our best life everyday Details: We have been happily married for 40+ years. We are retired and love having the freedom to do what we want when we want. We love to travel in our trailer but we also travel through a home exchange group. We like to travel, kayak, hike and garden. We spent a winter traveling all over Baja in our trailer and it was a great experience we are looking forward to repeating. We hope to go to Alaska for 3 months and also are planning a major cross country trip. Nova Scotia here we come! We both are natives to northern California and feel lucky to live here with so many great adventures right in our own backyard. Life is good and getting better! Home Town: Grass Valley, in the beautiful Sierra Foothills of northern California

Parking & Arrival
Access Road Conditions: Paved private road. Parking area is paved 26 x 40. Class B, Class C and Vans under 22' can just pull in. If you tow a car behind, you will need to disconnect in town before arriving BEWARE! Trailers and larger campers will need to back in: You will need to be extremely competent at backing up and have the skill level to back up a 100' drive way with an incline and a curve. Driveway pavement is 10' wide with a 13' wide clearance between 2 trees. (see photo) We can back our 22' trailer up there, but it's a challenge and it takes a bit of time and effort! We are not trying to discourage anyone, but just giving you fair warning and asking that you be realistic about your ability to back up a challenging driveway! Also your vehicle needs the power to push your trailer uphill. 4WD is likely needed. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: next to rig
Max Rig Size:
Up to 25 ft

Parking Surface:
Pavement
Check-In:
