Bring your generator or rent ours for the night as needed. Enjoy horseback riding as our guests at a nearby recreational ranch or grab your gear for winter sports at Mt Ashland or Mt Shasta. We are 20 minutes from Yreka, California, a quaint old mining town, and 35 minutes from Ashland, Oregon, a cultural mecca. We want to make your stay here enjoyable and memorable. All horse experiences are facilitated by your host, a horse professional with many years of providing equine-assisted learning, therapeutic sessions, mentoring, and helping horses and their owners develop good relationships. To participate in any horse experiences listed, a liability waiver will need to be signed. Horseback riding is offered offsite at R-Ranch Siskiyou, a nearby recreational ranch where you can ride as our guests. Photos are always free! Horse Adventure Choices: 1. Horse Connection Coaching How to meet and interact with horses and donkeys, release fear or stress, read and respond to their nonverbal signals, communicate vs dominate, set boundaries, and focus on relationship building $40/person or couple 1 hr 2. Positive Horse Training How to use specific techniques and practices of positive reinforcement in clicker training, marking, and relationship building designed for horse owners (or future owners) and trainers $40/person or couple 1 hr 3. Wellness Session Bring a specific healing intention and co-create a story with horses and donkeys as teachers and healers $50/person or couple 1-1.5 hrs 4. Riding Off-site Our horses and donkeys are not ridden by guests. Extra nights are offered Thursday-Sunday as available. A purchase of one horse experience of your choosing is appreciated which helps buy hay. Book extra nights before arrival or after the first night's stay depending on availability.

You will be parking in a large area with plenty of room to turn around. The horses will not be in your parking area but will be nearby. Most guests prefer to pull in and turn around to park their rig facing the road to exit the next day. There is a small pile of rocks to mark each site. If the ground is wet or rainy when you arrive, it would be best to back into your site.
