Welcome to La Cuesta Ranch! This land that was once occupied by the Chumash holds a remarkable amount of historical significance in the area. The 1200 acre ranch was purchased in 1917 by the Miossi family and functioned as successful dairy farm. To this day, it is still a family-owned and ran enterprise that currently operates as a working cattle ranch. In addition, we occasionally host small events, tours, and yoga classes by appointment. La Cuesta Ranch’s unique location amongst the rolling hills is home to dozens of California plant species and wildlife. We are located just 10 minutes from Downtown SLO and minutes from restaurants, coffee shops, and grocery stores. We are also located within a 15-20 minute drive from many attractions, including Sycamore hot springs, Avila Beach, Madonna Inn, and Pismo Beach. We’re honored to share this serene and tranquil space with a rich history with you! Come stay a night and take a guided tour of our historic barn, have a picnic at our scenic patio by the creek, stargaze, or simply relax at your camp site and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature. Please do note that this is a RANCH, not a farm. As such, we have critters including bobcats, mountain lions, coyotes, and rattlesnakes in warm weather. While highly unlikely you’ll encounter this wildlife, please be advised. This is the California countryside, not a roadside RV park.
