About
At Lazy River Lavender, harvest is more than a season—it’s the culmination of patience, purpose, and deep respect for the land. Nestled along the San Joaquin River in California’s Central Valley, our fields bloom in vibrant rows of lavender, carefully cultivated to reflect both beauty and resilience.
Founded on land that has been in our family since 1933, Lazy River Lavender represents a return to roots and a reimagining of what agriculture can be. What began with just 100 plants has grown into thousands of thriving lavender, nurtured through sustainable practices and intentional care. Our irrigation is fed by a repurposed aquaculture pond, and we grow without herbicides or pesticides—ensuring every bundle, bud, and drop of oil is as pure as nature intended.
During harvest, each stem is cut at peak bloom, when the oils are most potent and the fragrance most calming. Our fields are alive with movement—hands gathering, bundles forming, and the air filled with the unmistakable scent of lavender. It is a time of connection: to the land, to tradition, and to the community we serve.
Lazy River Lavender is proudly woman- and Latino-owned, rooted in heritage and driven by a vision to bring serenity into everyday life. Our products support herbalists, makers, and homes seeking natural beauty and healing, while our farm offers an experience reminiscent of the lavender fields of Provence—right here in California.
Harvest at Lazy River Lavender is not just about what we grow, but what we give: peace, presence, and a moment to slow down.
