About
Welcome to our Farmstead! We are a developing sustainable farmstead focused on intensive food production and sustainable land management. Our property features a developing food forest and a multi-bed specialty crop system focused on high-yield vegetable production. When you visit, you’ll be in a quiet, rural setting with a front-row seat to an active, working farmstead. Our goal is to offer an educational glimpse into intensive, small-scale farming for those who appreciate sustainable living and local flavors. Every visit includes a mandatory Agricultural Production Walkthrough, where you can observe our intensive multi-bed specialty crop system, discuss high-yield farming techniques, sustainable land management, and learn about the daily operations. This $30 per-vehicle educational experience is paid at the time of booking confirmation via [Venmo/Zelle]. This fee serves as your required support of the farm and allows us to share our intensive systems, high-yield techniques, and daily operations with you. Farmstead Offerings & Value-Added Products: We invite you to visit our onsite farmstand, where we offer several agricultural and artisanal products for purchase to support our farm operations: • Poultry Operations: We take pride in our high-end laying flock—our hens provide premium fresh, 100% corn & soy-free eggs. • Specialty Crops: Depending on the season, we offer produce harvested directly from our cultivation beds and food forest. • Farmstead Preserves: Small-batch herbs, jams and seasonal preserves produced right here on the farmstead. • Artisanal Micro-Bakery: Freshly baked specialty items and artisanal baked goods. • Nursery Stock: Various plants and starts are often available for your own food forest journey. Optional On-Site Workshops: To further your agritourism experience, we offer additional paid, workshops including: • Sustainable Poultry Management Demo: A deep dive into managing a high-end laying flock and specialized feeding practices. • Food Forest Design for Beginners: An educational session on "stacking" layers to create a self-sustaining ecosystem. • Preservation Demonstration: An overview of our "Harvest-to-Jar" process for turning yields into artisanal preserves. • Homestead "Efficiency" & Land Management Talk: Strategies for intensive production and sustainable soil health. Your North Florida Launch Point: We are situated in a highly sought-after location that serves as the perfect launch point for experiencing the best of North Florida. We are just steps from the St. Johns River, with the historic Shands Pier within walking distance for sunset strolls or fishing. For a peaceful escape, the beautiful Riverfront Park is less than 2 miles away, offering a scenic 1.7-mile walking path under a canopy of ancient live oaks and observation decks perfect for sunset viewing. You won't have to go far for local flavor. We are also within walking distance of the famous Woodpeckers Backyard BBQ—a must-visit for any foodie—as well as the charming Linda Lee’s Ice Cream shop and Weedman’s Grocery for your quick essentials. If you're looking for adventure on the water, Trout Creek Marina is just 5 miles away, offering boat, kayak, and paddleboard launches, right next to the iconic Outback Crab Shack for fresh seafood. Our Central Hub Location: • Historic St. Augustine: A quick, convenient drive to the nation's oldest city. • Jacksonville & Green Cove Springs in nearby Clay County Easy access to the metro area or the quaint charm of Green Cove. • Natural Springs: We are a scenic 40-minute drive to the crystal-clear waters of Salt Springs, with several other major Florida springs nearby including Silver Glen Springs and Juniper Springs—both are stunning and right in the nearby Ocala National Forest. Experience the quietude of a working farmstead without sacrificing access to the region's most beloved landmarks. We look forward to hosting you and sharing the literal fruits of our labor!
