The PUPStop in Baker, Florida is the quirky and colorful home of Saving with Soul Pet Rescue, the largest working dog rescue in Northwest Florida. We are nestled in the cotton fields one hour north of the Emerald Coast and are the temporary home to an unreasonable number of rescue dogs. If you choose to stay with us, your home for the evening will be our Magnolia Grove, a shady stand of beautiful, mature magnolia trees along Highway 189, which some know as the Road to Florida's Emerald Coast. You will have front-row seats to Northwest Florida's beautiful cotton fields and, if you're really lucky, you'll be here when they're in full bloom. During Your Stay, You May Encounter... • Chihuahuas with opinions (and Olympic-level side-eye) • Puppies with no respect for personal space (and the occasional surprise they are very proud of) • Staff and volunteers genuinely delighted to see you and share our stories... and somehow make you feel like you've been friends forever • Happy tears (and occasionally sad ones too) • Dogs announcing that dinner is approximately twelve seconds late. • A newly rescued dog who doesn’t even have a name yet (and yes, we'll happily consider your suggestions... unless it's Luna, Bella or Max.) … and you may even witness one of rescue's greatest moments - an adopted dog leaving for home. You may also discover that what looked like a quick overnight stop turns into hours spent wandering the property, visiting the Rainbow Bridge, meeting our adoptable dogs and trying to explain why you are now emotionally invested in a ten-pound creature named Kevin. That happens here. Every day. What Is The PUPStop? The PUPStop is the heart (and soul) of Saving with Soul Pet Rescue. Our rescue has been together since 2012 and have saved more than 20,000 homeless dogs and cats. At any given time, we could have more than 100 dogs on the property – all of whom came from somewhere with an uncertain future - until we discovered each other.
