About
This is a parking area for two RVs or campers. Each space is approximately 15ft x 40ft, a 33ft plus pull behind will need an expert driver to back in. The electrical hookup is 50 amp. If you have 30 amp, you will need to bring your own adapter. The area is under two large Oak trees, giving plenty of shade. Electric and water hook-up is available for an extra fee. NO DUMP STATION! Extra parking for one vehicle only. Basically, this is a large parking area for the home. However, the home has a separate drive and garage parking, so we allow RV'ers to park in this space. Golf cart-friendly area, Walking distance to waterfront restaurants, tour guides and public boat ramp. Check out my favorite site, Monkey Island! The art shop on the property, called The Cottage, is a great place for finding unique items and local art. Open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 10am - 4pm. Please ask to see prints from a local artist named Valorie Vogel, Her Monkey Island print is my favorite and she is my mother in law so you will be supporting our family! If you like her work and would like to see her gallery we can put you in contact with her. Next door is River Safari, where you can book pontoon boats, airboat tours, and more.. Spend a night or a week; this is an amazing old Florida feel. Homosassa is a lovely fishing town located along the banks of Florida's Gulf of Mexico coast, home to the famed Ellie Schiller Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park. The town is a paradise for nature and water sports enthusiasts, a great place for scalloping in the summer also offering opportunities to snorkel alongside native populations of West Indian manatees and view animals such as American alligators in their natural habitats. Unique attraction Monkey Island preserves a habitat for spider monkeys, while nearby Little Tigertail Island is known as one of Florida's top seasonal holiday resort areas. Visitors can also attend the city's annual Homosassa Arts, Crafts, and Seafood Festival, held each year in November. We are walking distance to waterfront restaurants, guided tours and public boat ramp. The sight is not completely private as there is a Large Vacation rental on the 3 acre property, find more info on the area on Facebook page 'Hampton House Homosassa' , but there is alot of space for everyone. Golf cart friendly area, Check out Monkey Island (camp site is monitored by cameras), Natures Resort RV park less than 1 mile away had a dump station for $10 fee
