On June 5, 2025, Kerith House Winery opened on a 124-acre boutique farm. This estate is absolutely beautiful. It sits between two forested ridges and has a creek running through the center with meadows on either side. Harvest Host members have the best view on the property, overlooking with vineyard with the blue mountains in the distance. Guests are welcome to wander the property at their leisure. They can check out our growing watermelons and recently harvested apiary. There is also a pond where guests may practice casting from the dam (catch and release only). On the pond, there is an Airstream experience available that can be booked online. At the winery, guests can choose from a variety of wine options from sophisticated reds to sweet muscadine and fruit wines. They may purchase snacks to go with their tastings or to take back to their campsite. In addition there are products from the estate owners such as the honey, spice blends, and Roasted Garlic and Wine Drizzle, made from their own garlic. Kerith House also carries a collection of home goods. If guests time their visits well, they may hear the bagpiper who serenades the vines each Friday and Saturday evening. Or perhaps they may be around for one of the many workshops in the works from artistic projects to educational classes on beekeeping and organic gardening. The vintner, Scott, is also a fount of knowledge and offers special tasting and pairing sessions. At only 13 minutes from downtown Blue Ridge, when finished with everything Kerith House has to offer, enjoy a day exploring the quaint shops and wonderful restaurants. The owners always have great ideas for places to go.
