Project Chimps provides lifetime, exemplary care to former research chimpanzees in a sanctuary on 230+ acre of forested land in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Enjoy over 4 miles of hiking trails while staying with us, feed the koi fish, picnic under the chestnut trees, and more, all while listening to the sounds of chimpanzees enjoying their best life! We offer private tours with advance bookings and have a small gift shop. Check with staff about volunteer service options.
