The farm aspect of our 36.5 acre property includes the raising of a broad array of livestock (cattle, pigs, goats, chickens, ducks, turkeys, rabbits), an outdoor market garden, orchard and year-round commercial aquaponic greenhouse. Our produce and Meats are harvested throughout every season and nourish local restaurants, our CSA members, attendees of onsite events and our Harvest Host Guests . Our backgrounds are rooted in entrepreneurship, spanning a broad spectrum that includes restaurants (founding of a James Beard Award Winner) and biofuel production to permaculture/closed-loop aquaponics and player development in the sport of hockey. At Genesis Mountain Farm we offer traditional and RV camping options, as well as a 1600 square foot living space with 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, private commercial kitchen, TV/Game/Lounging area that may be booked. Guest have access to our recreation area which includes an 8-10 person cedar hot tub and barrel sauna. Farm to Table Meals can be ordered in advance and enjoyed at your own campsite, at our Cliff-Side Dining Area or savored at the Main House (indoor and outdoor seating available). On property activities include hiking, biking, snowshoeing, relaxing, touring our facilities, workshops and certification courses, farm worker (Eco-Tourism) experience, farm to table food events, etc. Water/boat access to the Pond Oreille River and Lake Pond Oreille is only 2 minutes away and our "backyard" is over a million square miles of wilderness with trails that accommodate ATV's. Skiing/boarding enthusiasts have only a 35 minute drive from our venue to the Schweitzer Village and after enjoying a day of skiing/boarding, can come back to a magical evening a our farm.. build a bonfire, hit the hot tub and sauna and relax with family and friends in one the most exclusive, serene and beautiful regions of Sandpoint.
