Established in 1901, Calumet Country Club has a deep and long tradition in the history of Chicagoland golf. The semi-private 18-hole championship golf course was designed by one of the most renowned architects of the 20th century, Donald Ross. Throughout the years, many of Ross’ designs have hosted major championships and/or are highly acclaimed such as Pinehurst #2, Seminole, Oak Hill, Inverness and Oakland Hills. Calumet is no exception to competition, having hosted the 1924 Western Open and the 1945 Chicago Victory Open, which was won by Byron Nelson. COURSE DETAILS At par 71, and with four sets of tees, Calumet can be played from 5,015 yards up to 6,619 yards from the championship tees. Known for some of the best conditioned greens in greater Chicago, Calumet can be enjoyed by golfers of all skill levels and still offers a great test for the low handicapper.
