Welcome to The Lucky Duck! We are a quiet, relaxed rural homestead located on a beautiful patch of acreage in Warren County, Iowa. Our property is managed by a small flock of friendly ducks who love to welcome travelers. If you are looking for a peaceful Iowa stopover with a classic country vibe, you’ve found the right place. We have some mowed trails throughout our 10 acres with a garden and a pond (no swimming) which you have access to. A fire ring is provided, firewood is available per request, as is a charcoal grill and charcoal. You are allowed to run your generator 24/7. If you need a generator we do have one for you to use, fuel provided. We also have a shop for those of you that need to make minor repairs or complete maintenance during your stay. Max height for the shop door is 9’9”. Tools are available, obviously we might not have exactly what you need, but you’re welcome to use what we have. We can assist you with sourcing your parts as well. We travel, so we understand that while being self contained laundry could be a hassle. We can wash and dry clothes for you, we do not fold. While all services are “free”, a donation is always welcome for the services we provide to our guests. This is not for profit, but to expand the possibilities to our returning and future guests.
