Perched on a peaceful ridge near Lake Cumberland, Buzz on the Point is more than just a place to park for the night—it's a chance to slow down, take in the views, and experience a little slice of Kentucky hospitality. We're a family-owned apiary where honey bees, nature, and community come together. During a guest's stay, they'll be surrounded by the sights and sounds of the countryside while being just minutes from one of Kentucky's most beautiful recreational destinations. They can spend the day exploring Lake Cumberland, boating, kayaking, fishing, hiking, or discovering the area's small-town charm, then return to a quiet evening in the rolling hills. Our bees are the heart of what we do. Guests are welcome to learn about our beekeeping journey, ask questions about the hives, and discover how these incredible pollinators help support local ecosystems and food production. Depending on the season, they may even see bees loaded with pollen. Although the apiary is not in or near the spot where guests will be camping, they can take a short nature walk to it. While they're here they may have an opportunity to watch us working in the apiary, and can purchase our small-batch honey and beeswax crafted goods made and harvested right here on the property. We also offer kayak and golf cart rentals, lake tours, errand running, meal/cooking experiences, and much more! As Harvest Hosts ourselves at heart, we believe the best travel experiences come from genuine connections. Our goal is for every guest to feel welcomed, comfortable, and appreciated from the moment they arrive.
