Relax, spend a night, a day or even a few, disconnect & recharge at our secluded Mountain River retreat. Reconnect w/nature- bring your fishing pole or use one of ours! (KY fishing license required) Float the mountain on our comfortable river floats (floats & life jackets available), we will drop you off at one of the neighboring ramps, take your time making your way back to camp- Have your own craft, we provide shuttling for a fee Go for a dip or snorkeling in the river (equipment available), hike in the woods or up the mountainside or just sit back & take in the sights & sounds. We are always on the look out for God's artistic wonders. In the fall, we observed Alpenglow, the appearance of the sun’s radiance on a surface w/out the actual appearance of the sun, our mountain was a fiery orange. Our heated Snow globe Dome is the perfect observatory during snow fall. Wildlife abounds, whether near the river, fields or mountain- spot a deer, rabbit, turkey or turtle. This region is also home to less friendly creatures like snakes and bears. Guests should be wise to prepare for bugs. Specially in the summer, there might be outbursts of flys, ticks & mosquitoes. Repellent is a must for a comfortable stay. Located on the DBBB (Daniel Boone Backcountry Byway) into off-roading, bring your 4x4 & take a trek on the scenic route or a walk down Newfound rd & cross the river on 1 of Clay counties historical swinging bridges. Experienced hikers can trek 600 ft in elevation up to Pilot Rock which sits over 1300 ft above sea level on the back side of our mountain. Unwind & relax one of our riverside treetop tents or hammocks. We also offer a close and personal river encounter, on a floating tent featuring an SUP floor. In the Winter you will enjoy the mountain in its winter wonderland. Use our heated Snow Globe Dome to do your morning stretches or enjoy a meal. All seasons are whimsical in this Appalachian Hollar. Come experience the backwoods of Ky first hand. Activity Equipment & services available for the established fees upon request.
