About
Embrace the serenity of a countryside retreat where the gentle whispers of nature replace the hustle of daily life. This serene farmstead invites you to sink into the rhythm of rural charm, offering a restful getaway against the backdrop of equine grace. As you plot your adventure into the heart of tranquility, remember to forsake the GPS in favor of the tried and true driving directions available on the host's website, ensuring your journey is as smooth as the rolling pastures awaiting you.
Your RV camping excursion takes on a new dimension at this bucolic sanctuary, where majestic horses graze within view of your peaceful encampment. Ideal for rigs of all sizes, the farm is tailored to provide a seamless experience, accommodating both large vehicles and those requiring no-back-in spots. To fully savor the enchantment of this locale, consider a two-night sojourn, immersing yourself in the pastoral bliss.
For those who seek the comfort of modern amenities, 30 amp electric hookups can be booked through Hipcamp.com, a user-friendly platform akin to Airbnb fashioned for outdoor stays. Moreover, exclusivity is offered at the "Big Oak Treehouse" site, specially curated for smaller vehicles, providing an intimate connection to nature's splendor.
Beyond the mere restfulness of RV camping, this location is steeped in equine wonder. A horse retirement farm at its core, where majestic animals enjoy their golden years unfettered. Guests are privy to the daily routine and social tapestry of these retired equines, including their morning feed, an experience marked by the soundtrack of a passing four-wheeler.
Unfurl your lawn chair and let the bucolic tableau wash over you, absorbing the sounds, scents, and sights of the countryside. Venture through the website and follow the blue Facebook icon for a virtual familiarization with the farm's residents, horse aficionados and children alike will delight in the equine-centric content.
Enrich your stay with explorations beyond the farm: a mere stone's throw to the Warm Springs Ranch, home to the iconic Budweiser Clydesdales, or a venture to the renowned Katy Trail, a haven for hikers and bikers alike. Here, expansive wetlands, ancient rail tunnels, riverside paths, and towering limestone bluffs animate your trek.
While the farm hums with the laid-back lifestyle of its equine inhabitants, visitors play a vital role in the stewardship of this sanctuary. Supported by generous donations, the farm ensures these animals live out their post-riding days in pure contentment. You too can contribute to their joy with treats like carrots and apples shared safely across a fence line.
Craft your next RV camping chapter amidst the tranquil pastures of a farm that marries the understated elegance of horse retirement with the rustic charm of a natural getaway. Whether you seek quiet reflection or a gentle adventure, this harmonious retreat promises a stay that resonates long after the RV is back on the road.
