"Homesteaders" Details: Russ is a semi retired contractor/inventor/and all around handyman! Joan is a former Childbirth Educator and most recently prior to retirement Director of Volunteer Services at our local hospital. Since her retirement she creates therapeutic microwaveable neck wraps and hand mitts, sold in several of our local shops. Perfect for those of us with arthritic joints!! She also facilitates end of life planning discussions and helps folks with Advance Directives and Living Wills. We travel with our medium sized rescue dog, a lab mix. We enjoy kayaking, X-C skiing, gardening, biking and most outdoor activities. We are both musicians, Russ plays guitar, and Joan is a violinist. Home Town: Madison, NH. Favorite Boondocking Locations: So far we have hosted more times than we have traveled and have only had a few Boondocking experiences to date. Skills or Expertise to Share: Retired-Birthing coach, musicians, gardeners, energy consultants with many handyman skills (can fix almost anything!). Active Community Volunteers. Our property is also home chickens, a pottery studio and kiln and a CSA (Community Sustained Agriculture) Farm along with a community garden.
