About
Sunset Ridge is about 500 feet above the Erie Canal. There are 40 acres here in the various stages of development. We feature hiking trails, wetlands, forestation, preservation, and the beginnings of wildflower pollinator project thru DEC You will park on a ridge overlooking a hayfield and wildflowers. There are no hookups in this area but I can’t figure out how to delete “water hookup” We are located on the Erie Canal, and Lake Ontario, Canandaigua and Seneca are each about 20 miles away. There is a popular wine trail and a beer trail around Seneca Lake. Palmyra is the home of the Mormon religion. There are many fine restaurants and a Wegmans grocery nearby. Take a breath of fresh country air and visit the Finger Lakes region. We would love to meet you. Suggested Local Attractions:The Erie Canal is a short hike from your parking space. Canandaigua Lake is 15 miles and Seneca Lake is about 18 miles and Lake Ontario is 20 miles north on Rt 21 or Rt 88 So we have a lot of water!!! There are museums, wineries, casinos, great restaurants, fine dining, orchards and vineyards and many waterways and lakes. The closest local attraction is Hill Cumorah home of the Mormon religion.

Adventurous spirit with an inquiring mind. Details: I love to travel, the best parts are the surprises that “make your day”. A great view, a side trip to a festival, a new acquaintance, a great sunrise/sunset that makes you say WOW! It’s so much fun. Home Town: I was born in Newark, NY. . The Finger lakes is my permanent residence. Favorite Boondocking Locations: My favorite is a secret, and the others are BLM and National Forests. Skills or Expertise to Share: I am working on my PHD in wandering When not traveling I enjoy working and playing outside, hosting boondockers and Airbnb guests My favorite job: teaching watersports: swimming, snorkeling, kayaking. .
