Our farm is a 6th Generation Small Family Farm. Their grandfather had compiled extensive research on raising bison, which he willingly shared. Today, there are 200+ animals on their farms and the family continues to gather good quality stock from markets from all over the state. The family and their colleagues sell Ground Bison, Bison Sausage, Bison Steaks, Bison Roasts, Bison Snack Sticks, Bison Stew, and Bison Kabobs. Bison Roasts, Bison Snack Sticks, Bison Summer Sausage, Bison Stew, Bison Spiedies. The Bison here on the farm are NOT subjected to pesticides, herbicides, or fertilizers on their pastures. In addition to a healthy environment in which to live, the Bison are NEVER given growth hormones, antibiotics, steroids, or soy-based feed products. These conditions all lead to an overall superior health for each animal, which in turn, means greater health aspects for the end consumer. The meat is processed in an New York State Inspected Article-5A facility in NY, where love and attention is given to ensure that the conditions within the facility are at a heightened state of cleanliness. Once more, this practice is to ensure that our meat is the best possible product. In addition to the bison farms, Glenwood Farms also owns and operates Waid's Honey, a honey company that has been in operation for over 30 years. Waid's Honey offers a variety of honeys local to the Finger Lakes region, including: Wildflower, Fall Flower, Locust, Basswood, Japanese Knotweed and Buckwheat. In the winter the Waid's Honey team takes bees to Florida, this gives us the opportunity to bring back Orange Blossom honey to offer to our northern clients.
