About
I am located on the New York/Vermont border just outside of Adirondack park, approximately 40 minutes from Lake George, and 50 minutes from Killington Mountain in Vermont. Our community is a quiet little country community with many of our surrounding neighbors being Amish. Our yard is a small yard but you are free to use it as your own. We have a swingset in the yard, a picnic table, an outside faucet if you need to fill up your water tank. I love dogs and would love to play with yours, however because there are many other dogs in the area please keep yours leashed at all times. Suggested Local Attractions:Whitehall is the birth place of the US Navy. We have a great little museum to check out for more information. We are also in the middle of an Amish community with many roadside farm stands selling fresh vegetables and bakery items. Restaurants you won't want to miss are Rathbun's sugarhouse, (breakfast) and The Railyard Taproom. In the fall season, Apple Hill Orchard is a great little orchard to pick your own apples. Hicks Orchard is also about 20 minutes away which has lots of fun things to do. https://skenesborough.com/skenesborough-museum/ https://historicgrounds.net/ https://www.rathbunsmaple.com/ https://www.therailyardtaproom.com/ https://www.hicksorchard.com/

Camping is life! Details: I have been a camper most of my life and I absolutely love it! The older I get, the more fresh air and open road I need. My favorite place is at the seaside, but a babbling brook or a large lake to launch my kayak in makes me just as happy. I love to kayak, hike and ride my bike. Home Town: My home town is Whitehall, NY which is a tiny town just west of the Vermont border and claims to be the birthplace of the US Navy! We are nestled in between the Adirondack Mountains of NY and the Green Mountains of Vermont. Skills or Expertise to Share: While I don't have alot of mechanical skills, I have been camping for a long time and would be able to give you some tips on how to make camping more comfortable, enjoyable or organized. My kids refer to me as a "professional camper"!
