Wake up to the soothing rhythms of natural splendor and immerse yourself in the history that stretches from the days of Pioneer life to present times. From May 1 to September 15, campers can set up their home on wheels amid a serene park setting, complete with electrical and water hookups, available for an affordable $25 per night. Delight in the convenience of a cash-only system, with an ATM conveniently located at the nearby Fort Saloon, adding to the historical allure. Your first night at our host location is complimentary for members, with a nominal $15 fee for each subsequent night, up to five nights of historical tranquility. Expand your knowledge with a complimentary visit to our on-site museum, where thousands of pioneer artifacts, spanning the era from 1858 to the present, await your curiosity. Managed by a dedicated volunteer, this treasure trove of history opens its doors during your stay, inviting a free-will donation for admission. Picture yourself strolling or carting through the story-laden pathways of the Fort Abercrombie State Historic Site. This Union Army military fort, active from 1858-1877, not only offers a glimpse into the Indian Wars and Civil War eras but bears significance for its protective role for both wagon trains and steamboat traffic. Dive into the past with a guided golf cart tour; adults and youth welcomed for a small admission fee, available May 27 through September 4. Just a short drive away, the Bagg Bonanza Farm Historic Site beckons with whispers of agricultural heritage, set within the National Register of Historic Places. Available for tours on weekends and holidays from Memorial Day to Labor Day, this historic farm enchants visitors with its well-preserved legacy and knowledgeable guides.
