About
Our home is just outside the city limits of Durant, OK on a 2/3 acre lot. We are less than 1.5 miles from the Lake Durant entrance. Lake Durant is a great fishing spot for crappie, bass, and catfish. It features a dock, boat ramp, and covered pavilions with picnic tables and restrooms. Lake Durant also features a two-mile-long nature hiking trail and a disc golf course. For those staying longer, it has 10 camper pads with full hookups. These can be rented daily or weekly. Durant is the Gateway to Lake Texoma, Southeastern Oklahoma State University, and headquarters of the Choctaw Nation and Choctaw Cultural Center. The city is officially known as the Magnolia Capital of Oklahoma. The Magnolia Festival is held in late May. Durant is located a convenient 90 miles north of Dallas and 150 miles southeast and south of Oklahoma City and Tulsa. Recreational opportunities and activities are abundant on beautiful Lake Texoma - only 15 minutes from Durant with 89,000 acres of water. Lake Texoma's Lakefest Sailing Regatta is held in April. At Choctaw Casino and Resort, see the biggest names in entertainment at the Grand Theater and Gilley’s. Or play at The District, which features bowling, an arcade, and six movie theatres. Dine at one of their 20 restaurants. The Durant Riding Club hosts their Family Fun Playday Series monthly from March to September and has the PRCA Pro Rodeo each June, which is has been a staple UPRA sanctioned rodeo for over 75 years. Southeastern Oklahoma State University offers six to nine productions a year. From musicals to dinner theaters, and even Children's shows. The satellite photo shows Lake Durant in the upper part of the photo. Our home is the middle house with a blue roof barn on the left side of the photo.

HOST
We are Alan and Kay Kashdan, a retired married couple. We have a Wiredhaired Pointing Griffon. She is 13 years old. When we are not traveling in our RV, we live in Durant, OK. We love the adventure of the open road and getting to know other people. We have camped in our RV in all but 7 of the northeastern states plus Alaska and Hawaii. We bike ride and travel with our bicycles. As Christians, we are active in several weekly home and church fellowships. You are invited to join us. We belong to Campers For Christ Ministries and participate at their rallies across the nation. We enjoy playing chess and Mexican train dominos.

Parking & Arrival
Our 40 foot class A Motorcoach will be parked in the barn at the end of the gravel driveway. Guest RV parking is located on the 100 feet long gravel driveway next to the side of the house. This is where a truck or car can park along with an RV. Water and a 50 and 30 amp hookup are next to the house. The driveway width is 14 feet, so wide enough for slides but there is no room to turn around. Back in for easy access to hookups. The street we live on is a hard surface dirt road but we are the second house from the cross street, which is paved.

House Rules
No smoking outside of your RV. Park a car or truck on the gravel driveway in front of your RV rather that the street. Pets allowed on leash in the backyard and unleashed in open fields nearby. Please use poop bags and take your trash with you when you leave. If cooking outside, please cook in the backyard instead of on the gravel driveway. Because your RV is parked close to my neighbor's house, use 30 or 50 amp hookups rather than running a generator.
