Welcome to Bonnechere Basecamp, your peaceful riverside stop in the heart of the Ottawa Valley. Whether you’re passing through or staying to explore, we hope you’ll feel right at home. We offer two spacious overnight sites: one for RVs or trailers up to 40 ft, and another for units up to 25 ft. The large site has a gravel surface; the small one is hard packed sand - you won’t sink in to it. Situated right on the beautiful Bonnechere River, our property is a great place to relax after a day on the road. Guests are welcome to enjoy the dock for swimming, launching a kayak or canoe, or simply taking in the view. Bonnechere Basecamp is conveniently located for exploring the Ottawa Valley and is within easy driving distance of Algonquin Provincial Park, with excellent opportunities for hiking, paddling, fishing, wildlife viewing, scenic drives, and discovering the area’s charming small towns. Well-behaved pets are welcome and must remain on a leash while on the property. We regularly see wildlife, including deer and foxes, and ask that pets be kept under control to help protect the animals and preserve the peaceful setting. Whether you’re here for a restful overnight stop or using Bonnechere Basecamp as your base for exploring the Ottawa Valley and Algonquin, we’d be delighted to host you.
