PRIVATE NATURE LOVERS RETREAT & A UNIQUE PIECE OF HISTORY Lakeside Farm located on 22 acres is tucked into the serenity of nature, on tiered fields, surrounded by trees, and the water of Shallow Lake. Enjoy the spectacular show of stars and planets as night turns to day. If you’re lucky to time your June visit, you may dance with the fireflies. The lake is non-motorized where you can enjoy all the benefits of nature by canoe, kayak, paddle board. The rail trail runs beside the property and invites you to enjoy a long walk, to ride your bike or to take your horse on a scenic tour. For the history junkies, this property was part of the Portland Cement Factory in the 1880s, and then became the Noble Mink Ranch from 1930-90’s. We are a small hobby farm that is recreational for us. We are retired and enjoying what life has to offer. We love to travel and have chosen to share some of our experiences here, at what we call Lakeside Farm. For the love of life and living we grow much of our own food from Organic, Heirloom and Non GMO seeds, with the seasonal abundance available for purchase. Our offerings can and may include -honey -seasonal jams -seasonal produce as available -bug repellent using essential oils -firewood with kindling and firestarter -equipment rentals… canoe, kayaks, paddle board -games - disc golf PRESERVATION: We are a long way from bringing the historical buildings back to life. Much work must be done to repair structures and upgrade utilities to support our HH guests and improve our offerings. Please consider making a purchase / donation.
