Welcome fellow travelers to our tranquil retreat just 2.3 miles from I-90 off of RT 37 (best way to enter) in Mitchell, South Dakota, home to The World's Only Corn Palace! Situated on approximately 2.4 acres of serene, level land, our property offers a peaceful respite from the road. As you arrive, you'll be embraced by the quiet serenity of our surroundings. Our expansive grounds feature a well-tended lawn, offering plenty of space to stretch your legs and relax in nature's embrace. Pull up to our designated parking area, where you'll find a convenient spot to park your RV or camper. Adjacent to the parking area is our welcoming home, where we reside alongside our friendly flock of 17 free-range chickens, including two roosters. Feel free to greet our feathered companions and perhaps even sample some of their freshly laid eggs! In addition to our chickens, we're also home to a few barn cats who help keep our property free from unwanted pests. These feline friends are independent souls but may grace you with their presence during your stay. As previous full-time RV lovers ourselves, we understand the importance of providing all the necessary information during your travels. Whether it's recommendations for nearby attractions, tips for RV maintenance, or simply a friendly chat about life on the road, we're here to help make your stay as enjoyable as possible. While we adore pets, please note that we are unable to accommodate them at this time. Our chickens roam freely throughout the property, and we want to ensure their safety and comfort during your visit. During your stay, you may occasionally hear the distant sound of passing trains, adding to the charm of our rural setting. When you enter go straight from the paved drive onto the gravel parking area DO NOT go towards the garage on the right. Please be aware that there are water hydrants and gate valves clearly marked with some tires for everyone's protection. We have beautiful grassy parking areas for your stay but based on rain fall you may be asked to park on the large concrete pad.
