Mountain Lake Campground is a no frills, rustic, quiet and affordable campground located just over the hill from the beautiful Douglas Dam Overlook and picnic area. There are 28 sites that offer shade, a quiet and peaceful atmosphere and a picturesque view of the hills. On the property there are (9) 50 amp sites and (19) 30 amp sites. We have 5 private restrooms with shower, sink and toilet and a coin operated laundry.
Campers can hike approx. 500 yards to nearby Douglas Lake for swimming, fishing or to just enjoy the view. Sneakers are recommended in case of a stray fish hook. From this vantage point you can see across the lake to the other side of Douglas Dam where there is a sandy beach, boat ramp and TVA campground. (4 mile drive) You may also fish in our catch and release pond, play volleyball or enjoy a blazing bonfire.
