Cross our covered bridge (11'6" clearance) and discover a peaceful mountain retreat where Appalachian heritage, natural beauty, and authentic farm life come together. Our historic property features a 250-year-old log cabin, a working blacksmith shop, an art gallery, a certified commercial kitchen, walking trails, ponds, Buffalo Creek, and abundant wildlife. Guests can visit our small herd of buffalo, including Sammy Fathead, our friendly buffalo bull, as well as our free-roaming peacocks and chickens. Farmhouse Buffalo showcases the creativity and traditions of our family. Robin creates artistic metalwork in the blacksmith shop, Johnny's wildlife artwork is displayed in the gallery, and Pat brings decades of baking and culinary experience to the farm's commercial kitchen. We also periodically offer classes in blacksmithing, art, foraging, and cooking. While offering a quiet country atmosphere, we are just minutes from state parks, hiking, fishing, rafting, downtown Johnson City, and historic Jonesborough.
