Welcome to Happy Hollow Homestead 🌿🐐 Come slow down and enjoy a peaceful night in our little corner of the Appalachian mountains! Happy Hollow Homestead is tucked away in a quiet, private hollow just outside of Big Stone Gap, Virginia. Our RV site sits across a beautiful creek from our home, giving you the feeling of having your own peaceful little spot in the woods. You’ll be able to fall asleep to the sound of the creek running nearby and wake up to the sounds of the homestead and surrounding mountains. 🌙🏔️💧 Our site has a 30-amp hookup and plenty of space for RVs. The property is home to free-ranging chickens, a couple of friendly goats, and our two Great Pyrenees girls, who love attention and meeting new people. 🐓🐐🐾 While you’ll feel tucked away and surrounded by nature, we’re still close to Big Stone Gap, where you’ll find restaurants, groceries, and other amenities if you need anything during your stay. We love sharing our little piece of the country with travelers and giving guests a chance to experience a bit of everyday homestead life. If you’re looking for a quiet, beautiful place to relax, listen to a creek, watch the animals, and enjoy the Appalachian countryside, we’d love to welcome you to Happy Hollow Homestead! ❤️ A little note about our animals: We kindly ask that guests please don’t feed our pets anything other than the treats we provide. This helps us keep everyone healthy and prevents upset tummies or accidental feeding of something that isn’t safe for them. ❤️ Optional homestead extras: 🐓🐐 Animal feeding: $10 for chicken feed and goat treats to enjoy while visiting the animals. 🐾 Spoil the Great Pyrenees girls: $10 for treats for Willow & Aspen. 🔥 Firewood: $5 🗑️ Garbage disposal: $5 per bag 🍫 S’mores kit: $10 🔌 30-amp hookup: $10/night 🌙 Additional nights: $15/night We’re just getting started, so we don’t have a full selection of homestead goods quite yet! We hope to have more available soon, including fresh eggs, goat milk products, and other homemade goodies from the homestead. 🥚🐐🌿 Our family traveled the country for 3 months in early 2026 in a travel trailer, before deciding to settle here in beautiful southwest Virginia.
