About
This working sheep ranch specializes in raising Southdown Miniature Babydoll Sheep and offers guests an immersive agricultural experience in the high desert of southeastern Arizona at an elevation of 4,600 feet. Daily tours at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. provide up-close interaction with the adorable miniature sheep and the Great Pyrenees livestock guardian dogs that protect the property. The meticulously maintained grounds showcase exceptional organization and cleanliness that guests consistently praise, creating an inviting atmosphere for a relaxing stay.
Seasonal opportunities abound for hands-on learning and animal interaction. During lambing season (February through April), guests can assist with births, bottle-feeding, and caring for newborn lambs. Spring and fall visitors have the chance to hold and socialize Great Pyrenees puppies, while May and June offer lamb training experiences. The knowledgeable hosts welcome guests with genuine hospitality, including social gatherings and comprehensive ranch tours that educate visitors about the care, feeding, and carefully managed breeding program.
Amenities support a comfortable and entertaining stay, with picnic tables at each RV site, a lighted pergola, horseshoe pit, and a natural landscape dog park where canine companions can explore safely. Outdoor cooking and campfires are welcome, and beautiful sunrises and sunsets enhance the peaceful, quiet setting. The location provides excellent access to regional attractions including Tombstone, Bisbee, Kartchner Caverns, and several natural preserves, making it an ideal base for day trips while enjoying the unique charm of a working farm.
