Nestled in the beautiful Arkansas Ozarks, less than two miles from the Gilbert Access of the Buffalo National River, the Hideaway offers a peaceful place to relax, unwind, and enjoy the natural beauty of North Central Arkansas. Whether you’re passing through for the night or planning to explore the area, you’ll find a quiet, spacious place to recharge. Enjoy your morning coffee while listening to birdsong, spend the day floating the Buffalo River, hiking scenic trails, fishing, exploring nearby communities, or simply relaxing around camp. The Hideaway features spacious gravel-and-grass RV parking with easy maneuvering for most rigs, along with a shared community fire pit where guests can gather and unwind when conditions permit. The Horse Hut serves as the guest information center and contains local maps, area recommendations, and information to help you make the most of your visit. Wildlife is part of everyday life here. Deer, wild turkeys, hummingbirds, and many songbirds are common visitors, while bears, coyotes, and other native wildlife also call these Ozark forests home. It’s a wonderful place to experience nature while enjoying the peace and quiet of rural Arkansas. The nearby historic town of Gilbert is a gateway to the Buffalo National River and offers canoe and kayak rentals during the floating season. Several public river accesses, hiking opportunities, scenic drives, and small-town attractions are all within a short drive, making the Hideaway an excellent base for exploring one of Arkansas’s most beautiful regions. If you’d like to extend your visit, additional nights may be available with prior approval. There are no electric or water hook ups. Water refills are available upon request.
