Welcome to WHOKA! Our journey began in 2021 when we left our careers behind and moved our family to a 255-acre lakeside farm in the beautiful Cariboo region of British Columbia. Our dream was to create a place built around the values that inspired our name: Wonder, Hope, Optimism, Kindness, and Acceptance. When you arrive, you'll be welcomed by open fields, peaceful lake views, farm animals, and the slower pace of country life. Our farm is home to horses, sheep, goats, chickens, rabbits, cats, dogs, and plenty of wildlife. Our vision is simple: we want guests to feel at home and enjoy the property in whatever way brings them joy. Relax by the lake, explore nearby trails and waterfalls, fish, enjoy a campfire under the stars, or simply unwind and take in the beauty of the Cariboo. If you're a volleyball enthusiast, we'd love for you to check out our beach volleyball courts. Guests are welcome to bring a ball and play, and if you're visiting on the right weekend, you may even be able to participate in one of our volleyball clinics or events through the WHOKA Volleyball Foundation. We also have a small farm shop featuring local products, books, handmade items, and seasonal offerings. While there is never any obligation to purchase anything, supporting our shop, making a donation toward the care of our animals, or simply sharing your experience with others helps us continue building and improving the farm for future visitors.
