We are a small hobby farm located 5 miles NW of Paris, IL. My shop offers needlework supplies, finished items for sale, candles, hand-wrapped wire jewelry. The closest neighbor is 1/2 mile in any direction. We're on the prairie so you can see beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Wildlife like deer and sometimes a coyote can be seen running through the fields. And we have a pair of herons that like to land along the creek behind the house. It's very quiet at night. We have 2 gravel drives for easy parking and a couple of grassy areas with some nice shade on hot days. There are several things close to do in Paris. We have a beautiful quilt shop, nice park with a splash park for the littles, movie theater, bowling alley, golf course and many nice places to eat. We are easy to find of IL RT 133, IL RT 1 and IL RT 16. Paris is located 20 miles north of Interstate 70 and the farm is approx. 25 miles from the interstate. Interstate 74 is just north of Paris, IL and Interstate 57 is west. We are approx. 40 miles from both of those. Big attractions in the fall are several surrounding fall festivals including Paris Honey Bee Festival the end of September, the Newport, IN antique auto hill climb first part of October and also the Parke County Covered Bridge Festival in Rockville, IN that starts the 2nd Friday of October and runs through the week and following weekend. We are 40 miles from there. Easy to get to Rockville from where we are located. Paris and the smaller towns around us have many things to offer with several smaller state parks.
