Our paved driveway slopes up and down, but vans often find a sweet spot in the middle, if you want an easier in and out. We have 2 larger dogs who have the run of our yard, who love visitors—people or dogs. But please expect dogs when you visit. Friendly dogs are welcome. You have an 5 minute walk to Jeff’s Variety Store at the bottom of our hill where you can get wonderful deli sandwiches, including some of the best lobster rolls in town. Also good for small necessities. It’s a 5 minute drive to Shaw’s, or Market Basket, so many groceries are nearby. The beach (Good Harbor) is a short drive or about a 20 min walk, as is downtown (just in another direction). There is a wonderful woods in the middle of our island, as well as many beaches. Not good for travel trailers—best for Class B & C. We have a steep hill up to our house, and a competing steep up and down into our yard. Along with that, we are on the end of a dead end road, so not a lot of room to turn around on the street—which makes for a steep back up the hill if you have a travel trailer.
