We live in a rural farming community. Our property is pretty secluded from the neighbors. The road is pretty quiet most of the time. The camping spot is grassy and has a fire ring for cooking. There is a large fire pit in our back yard if you would like to have an evening fire and we are not using it. The camping spot can accommodate up to a 35 foot camper however if you have a larger rig you are welcome to park in our driveway. There is not a water hook up however there is an outdoor faucet available to fill water jugs. We have a hobby farm with free range chickens. Shoes are recommended, chickens are not shy when it comes to going to the bathroom. There is a trail for walking through our woods. If you are here in mid to late spring you can enjoy falling asleep to the sound of hundreds (possibly thousands) of frogs. We have a swamp on the northeast section of our property that is full of frogs. Rabbits frequently wander around the yard. On occasion bald eagles can be spotted flying overhead or sitting at the top of the larger trees. The field across the street to the north and east of us is home to cranes. We cannot always see them however we can almost always hear them. The 50 vacant acres next to us is home to lots of deer that can sometimes be seen from our yard and crossing the road. Suggested Local Attractions:We are just outside Manistee National Forest which offers ATV trails and sightseeing. Boat launch on Muskegon River is approximately 15 minutes away. Canoe and kayak rental in Newaygo on Muskegon River about 30 minutes away. Tube rental approximately 15 minutes away. Two boat launches within 15 minutes on the Muskegon River. Amish grocery store, tack shop, and furniture stores within 15 minutes. Highly recommend Jimmy's Roadhouse in Newaygo (25 minutes).

Parking: On the rare occasion nobody is home to greet you please park on the north side of the garage. Park anywhere in the open grassy area. The electric hookup is on the side of the garage. If you need to drive on the grass in the front yard to get backed in that is fine. Access Road Conditions: We are one mile off the main road if coming from the west. If coming from the east we are the first house about 600 feet from the corner. The driveway is hard to see if coming from the west. Our driveway is just past the stop ahead sign on the south side of the road. If coming from the east the driveway is pretty easy to see, you will see our yard first then the driveway. Our road is paved and straight. If coming from the east you will travel on Dickinson which is very rough to the north of us and very curvy to the south. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: There is plenty of room to park either next to your RV or in the driveway.

No smoking on the property. Beware the horse fence is an electric fence. Do not enter the pig pen, horse pasture or the barn. Please do not handle any of the animals, this includes the wildlife. No chasing, grabbing, pulling feathers out, etc. Leave all animals where you found them. Currently we do not have an off leash area for dogs so please keep your dogs leashed for the safety of our dogs and other animals. Please observe quiet time from 10pm-7am. Be sure fires are out completely before turning in for the night. You and your children must be fully clothed at all times. Be respectful of our animals and the wildlife. If using the trail in the woods please stay on the trail. We are still cleaning up from the previous owners and have found barbed wire throughout the woods. The trail is clear of all trash and barbed wire.
