Our Historic Cabin built by Norwegian Immigrant Ancestors sits on an acre of property surrounded by farmland on the top of a Pleasant Ridge about 3 miles off of I90, west of Winona MN and LaCrosse WI. Great River Bluffs State Park is nearby and there are excellent hiking trails throughout the Driftless Region. The closest town is Houston MN which is home to the International Owl Center and is the Gateway to the Root River Bike trail of South Eastern Minnesota. The hosts are not on the property at all times and so the cabin may or may not be open for viewing at the time of your stay. It is a great place to enjoy some peace and quiet, a campfire, and a sky full of stars. Electric hookup is available.
