About
This working ranch spans 235 acres across three connected farms in the scenic Ozark Highlands, offering guests an immersive agricultural experience with diverse animals including wool sheep, dairy sheep, Scottish Highland cattle, Great Pyrenees dogs, donkeys, goats, ducks, and chickens. The property's location provides easy access to historic Civil War battlefields, multiple state parks, and Mark Twain National Forest within an hour's drive. Guests can explore over 80 acres of wooded terrain on the south farm featuring springs and creeks ideal for hiking, as well as 60 acres of pastures and woods on the home ranch. The on-site creamery produces luxurious French custard-based ice cream made from A2 sheep's milk with all-natural ingredients and no preservatives, allowing visitors to watch sheep being milked and sample exceptional flavors. The farm shop offers locally-produced goods including sheep milk, sheep cheese, handmade jams and jellies, soaps, and artisan crafts. Guests consistently praise the quality of these farm-to-table products and the educational farm tours that showcase the host's vision and passion for sustainable agriculture. Tours provide memorable opportunities to meet the diverse animal residents, including baby animals, with interactive experiences such as petting goats and hand-feeding Highland cattle. Visitors particularly enjoy learning the stories behind the farm's operations while exploring the scenic landscape. The property offers optional campfire dinners featuring lamb chops, seasonal vegetables, and homemade ice cream, served on a ridge overlooking a pond and the farm valley—a memorable dining experience that complements the overall farm immersion.
