At Cross Country Farmhouse you'll find peace and serenity on our 20 acre farm. Relax and enjoy the views while escaping the hustle and bustle. Our 143 yr old farmhouse was renovated in 2020 and we've added electric hookups for your RV and can accommodate 50 amp. You can relax while you're here. Take the kids fishing in the stocked pond, lounge on the porch swing bed in the breeze with a good book or take your furry friends for a walk around the property. We have a new contained 'dog park' coming soon if you want to relax and let them burn off some energy without being leashed. You'll be surrounded by beautiful views of both the sunrise and sunset here on the farm, and for breakfast enjoy complimentary farm fresh eggs for your stay, straight from the coop. We have a small farm store on site we stock with fresh homemade bread and baked goods from cinnamon rolls to bagels and lots of pantry staples to take on the road. Located just a short 5 minute drive off the I-35 interstate, we're only 10 minutes from shopping including Wal-Mart, local restaurants, full grocers, or a pharmacy if needed and we're less than a 30 minute drive to Kansas City. Local attractions in our small hometown include a retired train depot, several small mom and pop shops from Gentry's Coffee Shop to Simply Scented Soap & Candle Co. We even have a local Ace Hardware store just in case you need supplies or maintenance needs for your RV. We also offer a map that highlights local farmstands and farmer's markets in a three county area if you want to take a drive and explore the countryside and other small farm businesses. It's a short 20 minute drive to Quilt Town USA where you can shop the 13 themed fabric stores at Missouri Star Quilt Company. Or if history is more your style, we're 26 miles from the birthplace home/museum of Jesse James as well as his grave site. Or visit the historic Watkins Woolen Mill and museum. We offer electric hook up for your RV on the farm and although we don't offer dump services on site, we are just a short distance from several state parks that allow you to use the dump station for your RV. Electric is available at the garage/house location on gravel, we also have more secluded off-grid sites you can enjoy or use a generator. We have farm and homestead events on the farm from time to time and post the schedule and details of those events on our facebook page, so watch for those.
