About
This property sits on a historic 260-year-old farm in rural New Hampshire, offering a peaceful retreat just minutes from Interstate 91 yet nestled in quiet countryside. Guests enjoy level, spacious parking in grassy fields with plenty of room to maneuver RVs of various sizes. The serene setting provides opportunities for hiking, exploring brooks, and taking in natural views while surrounded by working farmland with beef cattle and hay operations.
The centerpiece of any stay is a tour of the updated sugar house, where visitors learn the complete maple syrup production process from sap collection to bottling. Guests consistently praise the educational experience, which includes tastings of different syrup grades and insights into how Mother Nature influences the color and character of the finished product. This family-run operation represents generations of farming tradition, and the knowledgeable host shares both technical details and fascinating farm history during unhurried, personalized tours.
The property is also home to two impressive pulling oxen, magnificent animals that guests delight in observing and meeting. Many visitors enjoy watching these 3,500-pound animals throughout their stay and learning about their training and competition history. The peaceful setting—with views of the animals grazing and the surrounding landscape—creates a uniquely memorable rural experience that appeals to families and travelers of all ages.
The host provides excellent communication, helpful local recommendations (including nearby chocolate shops and dining options), and genuine hospitality that goes beyond typical accommodations. Guests consistently mention feeling welcome, well-cared-for, and eager to return, often purchasing syrup to bring home and share with family and friends.
