About
We are located in the rolling hills of Delaware Township, NJ. You are welcome to enjoy our pond, surrounding meadows, garden and animals on our 7 acre family farm. There is a dairy farm on the corner of our street, you are welcome to stop in and buy some fresh, local products. Washington Crossing State Park is just about 20 minutes down the road, along the Delaware River. There are tubing and kayaking opportunities at multiple locations and parks along the river. There are several river towns within a short drive - the closest being Lambertville, NJ about 13 minutes away. Just across a pedestrian/car bridge is New Hope, PA in historic Bucks County. A little further, about 30 minutes north, is Frenchtown, NJ. All of our river towns abound with great restaurants/cafes, artisan shoppes, and local 'flair'. All are accessible from the Delaware River canal path - a 60+ mile, multi-use towpath that is level, wide and well-maintained. Suggested Local Attractions: In order of proximity to our place: The Covered Bridge Cafe, General Store and Sergeantsville Inn - Great food, locally sourced from our awesome farmers, and served in inventive and delicious ways. The Covered Bridge over Wickecheoke Creek - Sergeantsville's claim to fame The Delaware Canal Towpath - starts in Trenton, NJ and runs up to Frenchtown, NJ. Several walking bridges connect it with the Pennsylvania canal trail, so you can do a full loop through NJ and PA. Washington Crossing State Park Lambertville and Frenchtown, NJ New Hope and Peddlers Village, PA Bowman's Hill Tower and Wildflower Preserve, PA Ringing Rocks State Park, PA - a short hike to sonorous rocks in a large boulder field, waterfall at the end of the trail. Bring a hammer. Great hike for little ones - short, easy, and they get to bang rocks with hammers. :) Philadelphia - about 45 minutes Princeton, NJ - about 45 minutes New York City - about 90 minutes Delaware Water Gap Nat'l Rec Area - Appalachian trail, Dunnfield Creek, Kittatiny mountains. About 120 minutes.
