Dark skies at night, peaceful long days. This is 33 acres of piñon and juniper. We would love to have you camp here for a day or so. We welcome hikers and support teams from the nearby Continental Divide Trail, also hunters and travelers in the area. Be sure to save room for delicious home cooked meals from Pie Town Pie Company ( the best pies in town) and rich meaty meals from The Gatherin' Place. Further down the road is the Eagle Guest Ranch (amazing green chili cheeseburgers) and the adorable Baldwin Cabin Library. There are no stores, no services, no other businesses nearby- arrive prepared. Fuel, mini-mart and ATM are at least 30 miles away. Cell service is unreliable. Emergency services are volunteer staffed. Our property, which we call our Pie Town Play Ground is located just off US Highway 60 and New Mexico Highway 360. But then there are 1.5 miles of graded dirt road to access our property. Once you arrive there are dirt driveways that offer space to maneuver and turn. Just watch for trees. Coyotes sing to the stars, elk and deer cross the property and ravens and blue jays frequently check in. You will be in good company. We are travelers ourselves. We have explored USA, Canada and the Pan-American Highway. We are currently enjoying Europe and North Africa. You can reach us here and read about our longest journey at www.slowcarfasthouse.
