Learn MoreThe Duke City anchors the state's brewery culture and its biggest event, October's Balloon Fiesta, when hundreds of hot-air balloons fill the dawn sky and every RV site for fifty miles fills with them. I-40 traces old Route 66 east and west, with junkyard-brewery character stops toward Arizona.
Santa Fe, Taos, and the High Road between them stack adobe history, art markets, and mountain scenery into the state's most atmospheric corridor. Expect real altitude — 7,000 feet and up — and reward yourself accordingly at the farm and brewery stays below the peaks.
Las Cruces country holds White Sands' impossible dunes and the Mesilla Valley's chile fields, plus La Viña, New Mexico's oldest winery — the state's 400-year wine history predates every other American region. Winter here is mild, sunny, and quietly excellent for RVs.

New Mexico runs on green chile, high desert light, and elevations that surprise everyone — Santa Fe sits at 7,000 feet, and even the low desert isn't. New Mexico has 105 Harvest Hosts locations offering overnight RV stays at breweries, historic wineries, and farms across the Land of Enchantment, with a brewery scene strong enough that the state's three most-booked hosts all pour: Family-Owned Brewery with Gourmet Eats, Southwestern Desert Beer Garden Brewery, and Historic Junkyard Brewery RV Retreat. Members can choose from 12 farm stays, 15 wineries, and 14 breweries statewide.

Wow, it is rare that we really like all the beers we try in a flight. But the beer here was all good. The bartender was super nice and knowledgeable about the beer. The parking lot was big and open for our 38 foot towing a jeep. We bought a mixed case of beer to bring with us. We also met some locals in the taproom that were very friendly and loved talking to them. Would definitely stop here anytime we are near the area. And we saw an awesome lightning show!
