About
This location sits on a century-old farmstead just off I-94, offering a peaceful retreat surrounded by vineyards, wheat fields, and well-maintained grounds. The property features spacious, level parking areas suitable for rigs of all sizes, with both grassy fields and gravel options available. Guests consistently praise the quiet, serene setting—far enough from the highway to feel remote, yet conveniently close for easy access. The tasting room welcomes visitors with a warm, inviting atmosphere featuring both indoor and outdoor seating areas. The wine selection showcases local, cold-climate grape varieties that receive high praise for quality and taste. Guests frequently describe discovering new favorite wines during tastings and often purchase multiple bottles to take home. The homemade vegetarian and vegan food menu delights visitors with creative, delicious options including hand-crafted breads and fresh ingredients. The hosts are exceptionally gracious and communicative, going above and beyond to ensure guest comfort. They accommodate late arrivals, pre-chill wine purchases, and often arrange tastings even outside normal operating hours. Many guests highlight the owners' knowledge, warmth, and genuine hospitality, creating a welcoming environment where travelers feel like valued guests rather than simply passing through. The grounds offer beautiful walking paths through restored prairie meadows and vineyard areas, with abundant wildlife and bird watching opportunities. Guests enjoy exploring the property, photographing the picturesque barns and gardens, and relaxing on the decks at sunset. Electric hookups are available, and the overall experience combines the appeal of quality wine and food with a genuinely peaceful overnight stay.
